Our focus.
Humanitarian Wave helps facilitate the process of social engagement for the business sector’s philanthropic interests by providing the expertise and advice in the design and management of successful community outreach initiatives and projects. We help entrepreneurs develop long-term strategies to help create change in the communities where they do business.
Economic Self-Reliance
Economic self-reliance programs provide essential tools to young people and workers who cannot otherwise afford the infrastructure it takes to contribute business services within their economy. Our programs create life changing opportunities for individuals and their communities. Humanitarian Wave supported the development of the Fishing Cooperatives in La Majahua, Mexico and Plastic Recycling Plants in La Union, Guerrero Mexico. Both programs bring much needed services and employment to these communities.
Health & Fundamental Needs
Humanitarian Wave’s health programs target the diverse areas that affect the health of people in need through prevention and educational programs as well as sports programs, basic medical provisions and other preventive resources that otherwise people in need have no access to. We’ve worked in numerous orphanages, hospitals and youth shelters in impoverished area in Mexico, Uruguay and war torn locations such as Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Emergency Relief
Whether a country is in an emergency from a natural disaster or from the impacts of war, Humanitarian Wave provides relief to communities left in need.
Our programs are designed to provide people in those communities with basic necessities such as medical supplies, food and water. Most recently, we worked on developing sustainable solutions in Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria.
Education & Environmental Sustainability
Humanitarian Wave is working to create educational opportunities for young people and is supporting the development of environmentally sustainable methods, like agricultural techniques for sustainable food production, improving water supply and sanitation. We work with local partners whenever possible and prioritize programs that increase economic prosperity while protecting natural resources.
